The latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has given some interesting insight into what has been going on with Sasha Banks over the past couple of days.
According to Dave Meltzer’s report, Banks tried to quit WWE over WrestleMania weekend because she felt “blindsided” by the decision to take the Women’s Tag Team Titles off her and Bayley, which she found out about at the last minute.
Banks was apparently under the impression that the duo would be given a lengthy run with the titles to establish them as a serious prize and give them credibility.
Various promos in which the pair promised to defend the titles on Raw, SmackDown and NXT also seemed to indicate that they would be in line for a decent run with the belts.
Meltzer goes on to note that Banks – who is currently on vacation – has been given a few weeks off to think over her decision, which WWE believe to be a rash emotional call made in the heat of the moment.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful has also weighed in, describing Sasha’s situation as a “Revival scenario” and that Banks was told things would improve in the coming weeks and that she should ride it out.
For what it's worth, I was told it was almost a "Revival scenario," with her being told that things would improve in the coming weeks and to ride it out. https://t.co/WtPPBs92uS

Meltzer says that he has been told by several sources that Banks is clearly unhappy and that she and Bayley did only find out about the planned finish of the WrestleMania match late in the day.
Could Sasha Banks follow in the footsteps of Dean Ambrose, Tye Dillinger, Cody Rhodes, Bad News Barrett and many others who have walked out on WWE due to unhappiness with how they have been used? We will have more on this story as it continues to unfold over the coming weeks.
