Saudi Arabia Might Allow Women To Compete On WWE Shows

One of the most obvious of the multiple controversies that have come with hosting wrestling shows in Saudi Arabia is the fact that none of WWE’s women have been allowed to compete.

The closest we have come is having Renee Young on commentary, but even she had to wear what was basically a body sock showing little more than her fingers.

Now though, it is being reported by the Wrestling Observer that there is a chance, albeit a very slight chance, that Saudi Arabia will allow women to compete inside the ring at one of this year’s shows.

WWE are set to have shows in the country on May 3 and November 1.

The report from the Observer also notes that there are currently no plans in place for a second Evolution PPV or a similar all-women show, possibly pointing towards the idea that Saudi Arabia is being a bit more lenient with its outdated views.
