Savio Vega Reveals Who Helped His WWE Return At Backlash Come Together

Savio Vega has revealed who helped his WWE return at Backlash came together.

At WWE Backlash, Savio Vega made his return to the company to appear in a backstage segment with Bad Bunny and Rey Mysterio where he gifted a Puerto Rican themed kendo stick to the award-winning rapper.

Vega later helped Mysterio, LWO and the returning Carlito to take out The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio during Bunny’s San Juan Street Fight with Damian Priest.

Speaking with Cultaholic Wrestling’s Tom Campbell, Vega revealed how his WWE return came together. He said:

“They got in contact with me because this is the mastermind of Damian Priest and Bad Bunny. They’re both fans of me and I discovered that when I went to the farewell of The Undertaker.”

“I saw Damian Priest there and I went to him, ‘Hey man, how you doing? I want to take a picture with you.’ He said, ‘No, I want to take a picture with you.'”

“So I talked to him a little bit there. We don’t talk too much but we keep in touch by phone. This idea was them, more Damian Priest.”

After the showdown between Bad Bunny and Damian Priest was announced, WWE called Savio Vega to schedule his appearance for the show.

Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, Indi Hartwell and Dexter Lumis reunited The Way backstage, and Gargano hinted at someone else returning soon which could be Tommaso Ciampa

Zoey Stark def. Nikki Cross

Becky Lynch returned and confronted Trish Stratus

Dominik Mysterio def. Xavier Woods

Seth Rollins def. Finn Balor in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament
