Scorpio Sky shocked the wrestling world on Wednesday night (March 9), when he defeated Sammy Guevara in the main event of AEW Dynamite to capture the TNT Championship.
Guevara had been dubbed the ‘undisputed’ TNT Champion and carried around two championship titles since his victory over Cody Rhodes back at Beach Break in January, which would end up being Cody’s last AEW match.
However, it appears as though the two titles were a Guevara only thing, as Sky took to Twitter earlier today to announce that he would only be using one title going forward, as well as what he’d be doing with the second.
He said:
I will only be carrying one TNT title from now on as I’ve gifted the other to Dan Lambert to put front and center at ATT surrounded by the countless championships won in the UFC, Bellator, and all the other major promotions. Watch #AEWRampage tonight on MY network,
