A major title change to end the show tonight on AEW Dynamite as Scorpio Sky reclaimed the TNT Championship.
Scorpio Sky defeated Sammy Guevara to reclaim the TNT Championship on tonight’s episode (April 27) of AEW Dynamite, climbing the ladder and unhooking the championship gold in order to win the title.
The match saw several inferences including Tay Conti landing a low blow on Dan Lambert before Paige Van Zant ran out and the women continued to brawl throughout the rest of the match, setting up the previously requested intergender match forthcoming between the quad.
Despite seeing daredevil spots including barbed wire draped ladder coming back to haunt both Sky and Guevara, the ladder match concluded with Guevara almost making a comeback, popping up onto the ladder by leaping from the top ring rope however Scorpio Sky was able to fend off the champ to finish the climb to victory.
After the match, American Top Team celebrated in the ring including Ethan Page and Paige VanZant when Scorpio Sky’s former tag partner, Frankie Kazarian, came to the ring to congratulate him as well as shake hands, making good on Sky’s word to give Kazarian the first crack at his TNT title if he was able to reclaim it.
