Scott D’Amore Addresses Recent Visit To WWE Performance Center WWE, TNA Wrestling

Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling owner and former TNA Wrestling President Scott D’Amore has addressed his visit to the WWE Performance Center late last year.

On November 8, 2024 it was reported that Scott D’Amore had been spotted visiting WWE’s Performance Center in Orlando, FL.

While this naturally led to speculation among fans at the time, it was reported that D’Amore was simply given a tour of the facilities, with “informal conversations” along the way.

Now, speaking to Cultaholic’s Tom Campbell, D’Amore addressed the reason for his WWE PC visit:

“I was down in Florida, I had looked at going to the Performance Center before I even went back to IMPACT in 2017 and never got a chance to make it when we were chatting then.

“I was in the area and had the opportunity to go and have a look at the very best training complex that has ever existed in professional wrestling. I was happy and honoured to get a chance to take a look at that and see how they do things there.

“I don’t think that it’s something that needs to be read into too deep. Somebody in wrestling showed up at a place where they do something in wrestling and chatted with a few old friends and everybody went their separate ways.

“I also went to a Jacksonville Jaguars game while I was down there, nobody reported that…I get it, people want to speculate. Sometimes there’s just nothing more than what’s on the surface there.”

After being fired as TNA President in early 2024, D’Amore founded Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling, a spiritual successor to Maple Leaf Wrestling, which had ran from the 1930s until 1984.

The promotion is set to hold its second event this week, with MLP Mayhem taking place in Windsor, Canada on March 14 & 15, a show featuring WWE alum such as Bishop Dyer (Baron Corbin), Billy Gunn and Matt Cardona.
