WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair is coming out of retirement at age 73 at the upcoming Starrcast V event on July 31, and it’s already been a rollercoaster.
Flair was originally slated to face Ricky Steamboat on the show, but Steamboat turned down the offer. It was then rumoured that Hulk Hogan would be coming out of retirement to face Flair, which Flair has now denied.
New WWE Hall of Famers the Steiner Brothers took part in a Highspots Wrestling Network ‘Sign-It-Live’ stream, when the topic of Flair’s return match was brought up.
Flair was labelled as an ‘old friend’ of Scott’s, to which Scott quickly replied:
“He [Ric Flair] ain’t no old friend of mine. I would kill him [in the ring]. I’d destroy him. Yeah, everybody wants to see him get beat up.”
Flair has made the insane guarantee that he will perform a dive off the top rope during his match at Starrcast.
