Scrapped AEW Tag Team Plans Revealed

Scrapped AEW Tag Team Plans Revealed AEW

On AEW Rampage, one  AEW star may have revealed scrapped plans for a tag team with another star but will it still end up coming to fruition?

In an in-ring segment with the Hardy Boys and Isiah Kassidy, Ethan Page interrupted to make declare that another new match was headed for Las Vegas.

While Matt Hardy had previously challenged the Gunns and Ethan Page to a Triple Threat Match at AEW Double or Nothing next weekend in Las Vegas, not only did Page accept for himself he also addressed his future opponents.

Cutting an endearing promo, Page vowed to avenge the Firm deletion at AEW Double or Nothing and reminded Kassidy that not only had he always been there for him, he also encouraged his adoption of the moaning gimmick.

Deeming it ‘marketable’, Page also revealed that the duo had previously planned to form a tag team together, even spilling what the name was planned to be.

Honestly, the ‘Moan Event’ is a great tag team name if they were really going to stick with the bizarrely sophomoric but amusing moaning gimmick Brother Zay has incorporated of late.

Accepting the challenge for AEW Double or Nothing, Ethan Page ended the segment declaring that Isiah Kassidy would never moan again after a vicious attack from behind from the Ass Boys.

We’ll have to wait and see how the stipulation turns out at AEW’s upcoming pay-per-view, AEW Double or Nothing.

Fans still see the ‘Moan Event’ if Ethan Page and the Gunns lose to Team Delete at AEW Double or Nothing as the stipulation could leave Page reunited with Hardy.

With control of Ethan Page’s AEW contract hanging in the balance, there are plenty of other big matches on the card for the May 28 pay-per-view.

Including the ‘Four Pillars’ Fatal Four Way match for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship which will see MJF defend the title against Darby Allin, Sammy Guevara and Jungle Boy Jack Perry.

Also announced on tonight’s AEW Rampage, another big grudge match with an unsanctioned stipulation. Click here to find out more about that.
