Scrapped plans for WWE star Bronson Reed due to his injury have been revealed following the news that he’ll be undergoing surgery.
Reed was injured during the Survivor Series ‘WarGames’ match when he attempted to hit a Tsunami on Roman Reigns who was posed on a table but pulled out of the way at the last moment by CM Punk.
It was reported earlier that Reed will need to undergo surgery for the ankle injury sustained during the spot, which he’s expected to do in the next week.
According to a report from PWInsider, Reed was planned to face Seth Rollins in steel cage matches during the WWE holiday tour live events coming up.
However, those plans will now have to change with Reed out of action.
Reed had been embroiled in a TV feud with Rollins before Reed was added to Solo Sikoa’s WarGames team with Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa.
Rather than Rollins, it was CM Punk who joined the opposing team with Roman Reigns, The Usos and Sami Zayn, who ended up winning the match.
It was also reported earlier this week that the WWE TV return of Drew McIntyre on Raw happened earlier than planned due to Reed’s injury as well.
We continue to wish Bronson Reed all the best for his surgery and recovery.
