The original plan for the “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt at the upcoming October 25 WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view has been revealed.
It’s been rumoured as of late that plans for a Fiend vs Roman Reigns feud have been dropped, and this is now confirmed to be the case.
As per WrestlingNews.co, the original plan was for The Fiend to challenge Reigns for the Universal Championship at Hell in a Cell. It’s since been announced that Reigns will be defending against Jey Uso in an ‘I Quit’ match inside the cell structure.
The WWE Draft has backed up that this planned feud has been dropped, as Reigns has remained on SmackDown while The Fiend and Alexa Bliss have been drafted over to Raw.
More evidence of all of this is that the Wobbly Walrus character was introduced to the Firefly Fun House on September 11 – a jab at Reigns’ manager Paul Heyman – but it hasn’t been seen since.
The Fiend and Alexa Bliss attacked Andrade and Zelina Vega on Raw last night, but Vega was drafted to SmackDown so that definitely doesn’t seem to be the start of any kind of program.
