Recent scrapped plans for a WWE star that was released from the company last night have reportedly been revealed.
WWE held it’s latest round of talent cuts last night, with a number of names being let go from the company, which included SmackDown star Blair Davenport.
Blair was called up from NXT to SmackDown as part of the 2024 Supplemental Draft, but only made a handful of appearances prior to being released last night.
When SmackDown moved to three hours in January, it was reported that Blair Davenport would be a name that would be featured more on the show, and scrapped plans for her have now been revealed.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), Blair had not been discussed for any creative plans when Fightful asked about her status in November, December and early January.
Blair was recently shown in the background of a segment on SmackDown speaking to Piper Niven, which was seemingly set to see her join up with Piper and Chelsea Green.
Fightful notes that Blair was brought to TV recently and pitched on the idea of joining Chelsea and Piper’s group, with it going as far as having a secret service outfit prepared for her, but it ended up being delayed.
