Scrapped Plans For WWE Raw October 31 Revealed WWE

Scrapped plans for Halloween segments on the October 31 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw have been revealed.

On the Halloween edition of Raw, Matt Riddle defeated Otis in a Trick or Street Fight. The former US Champion pinned the Alpha Academy member after nailing him with an RKO, while Otis was wearing a pumpkin as a makeshift mask.

Per Fightful Select (subscription required), there were plans for a Halloween party segment, with ‘heavy elements’ not used. It was also noted that there had been a pitch for a food fight during this segment, which didn’t end up happening.

The report also noted that there were ‘tons of extras’ who were brought in for the show, who weren’t used.

Notable Triple H rehire Gabe Sapolsky is in charge of extras for Raw and SmackDown tapings now. Sapolsky re-joined WWE in September, following his January release under the previous regime.

Sapolsky has also been scouting talent at independent shows, and has been spotted at recent AAW and Defy Wrestling events.

The October 31 edition of Raw was the Red Brand’s go-home show ahead of Saturday’s (November 5) Crown Jewel premium live event. WWE reportedly has ’emergency’ plans for the show following a Saudi Arabia attack threat, which you can read more about right here.
