After WrestleMania this year, WWE called-up The Forgotten Sons from NXT. It seemed like WWE had big plans for the team on SmackDown, so much so that it has been reported that the faction were set to win the tag team titles.
According to Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio episode, WWE management were planning on putting the SmackDown Tag Team Championships on Steve Cutler and Wesley Blake.
The Forgotten Sons have not been seen on TV in a number of months, since tweets resurfaced of the group’s leader Jaxson Ryker calling the Black Lives Matter movement garbage. You can read more about that by clicking here.
Just before their removal from TV, The Forgotten Sons were starting a feud with New Day, who were the SmackDown Tag Team Champions at the time. If they would have taken the titles off of New Day, we certainly wouldn’t have seen Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro win the belts.
There is no word on when, or even if, we are going to see The Forgotten Sons return to WWE TV. For the latest on that, make sure you stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com.
