X-Pac Discusses Chyna’s Legacy Ahead Of DX Anniversary On WWE Raw WWE

The October 10 edition of Raw is billed as the season premiere, and Sean Waltman (X-Pac) has spoken out ahead of the show that marks the 25th anniversary of D-Generation X.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Waltman noted that he hopes that Chyna (Joanie Laurer) will be honored during the reunion.

Waltman said:

“The only person that’s not with us obviously is Joanie (Chyna). I hope that tonight, we don’t forget to honor her or we don’t just brush past that. As far as the rest of us go, everyone is in a really good place right now. I’m pretty grateful for that.”

Chyna was of course an original member of D-Generation X along with Shawn Michaels and Triple H.

The faction evolved to include Road Dogg, X-Pac and Billy Gunn, with Shawn Michaels eventually leaving the group.

Chyna passed away in April 2016 at the age of 46. The star made a huge impact in pro-wrestling during her time with WWE, within D-Generation X and as a singles competitor.

The Ninth Wonder of the World became the first woman to participate in the Royal Rumble bout and King of the Ring tournament, and secured singles victories over the likes of Triple H and Kurt Angle.

D-Generation X was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2019.

The upcoming anniversary celebration will feature former leaders Triple H and Shawn Michaels, as well as Road Dogg (Brian James) and X-Pac (Sean Waltman).

Billy Gunn is not expected to feature as part of the segment due to his role in AEW. The wrestling veteran has recently been appearing alongside AEW Tag Team Champions The Acclaimed.

Triple H currently runs WWE creative as the company’s Chief Content Officer, and Michaels serves as the Vice President of Talent Development for NXT.
