With regulars A.J. Styles, Daniel Bryan, Shinsuke Nakamura, and the Miz present, it’s not surprising to see great matches on SmackDown Live each week. However, on the latest edition, a contest which seemed by all accounts a filler match, took place between Andrade “Cien” Almas and fellow countryman Sin Cara.
Tom Philips and Corey Graves educated us about their history, a tale which saw Sin Cara train “Cien” only for the former NXT champ to cut those ties, and attack his mentor. Both men worked a physical Lucha style, and were at once in sync. The match turned into something unexpected, and much more than filler.
Almas went on to defeat his foe with double knees. Now, WWE.Com announce that we’re going to see it one more time on this Sunday’s kickoff show for Extreme Rules.
While it’s just the kickoff show, it is still welcome news for fans of the outstanding Almas and his business advisor, Zelina Vega, that something is being done with the main roster call-ups. At the same time, the feud is reminding people just how good of a wrestler Sin Cara is.
Are You Happy that Andrade has a PPV match? What should be next for him and Zelina Vega? Share your opinion below, or catch us on Twitter here. Don’t forget, you can also chat with Oli, Luke, and the rest of us on Discord.
