Following on from the announcement that former WWE Divas Champion Kaitlyn will compete in this year’s Mae Young Classic, WrestleTalk can herald that Rhea Ripley has been the second name confirmed for this year’s tournament.

The spirited Australian also competed in last year’s competition, defeating Miranda Salinas in the first-round before falling to Dakota Kai in the last sixteen. Since her debut, Ripley has signed a development contract with the promotion and made sporadic appearances on NXT.
The 2018 Mae Young Classic will be recorded over the evenings of August 8 and August 9. It will be broadcast in episodes on the WWE Network later this year.
