Segment On This Week’s Smackdown Was Botched

Last night on Smackdown The Hardy Boyz were forced to vacate their Smackdown Tag Team Championships after it was revealed that Jeff was injured. The former WWE Champion later confirmed that he will be on the sidelines for the rest of 2019 recovering from knee surgery.

Lars Sullivan is being blamed on TV as the man that injured Jeff after he and his brother won the tag titles three weeks ago. The former NXT star appeared once again to attack Matt Hardy, as well as R-Truth who tried to make the save for the legendary duo.

However, it appears that the segment was botched…

Lars went to attack Jeff, but R-Truth made the save, preventing WWE from having to have Jeff take any more damage with his knee surgery right around the corner.

Jeff then left the ring as Sullivan attacked Truth with a running powerbomb. However, as Sullivan made his way up the ramp, Jeff was seen laying on the floor, as if he’d been attacked. It seems as if there was an error in communication, as Hardy was selling an attack that never happened.
