Segment Scrapped From Latest WWE Raw? WWE

There was potentially a segment set for the latest episode of WWE Raw on April 17 that didn’t end up airing on the show.

Fightful Select‘s backstage report noted that Vince McMahon wasn’t present at the show in-person, but also had another interesting bit of info.

Fightful reports that there was a backstage segment with Damage CTRL that “didn’t run” on Raw.

WWE did post a ‘Raw Exclusive’ backstage interview with Damage CTRL and Byron Saxton on social media, but from the way it was done, it wasn’t something that would have aired on Raw.

If something did change, it wouldn’t be the first time it’s happened recently when it comes to Damage CTRL.

At the Raw after WrestleMania 39, when Vince McMahon was present and making changes to the show, Bayley was originally supposed to accompany Dakota Kai and IYO SKY to the ring for their match, but she ended up being pulled from that spot and wasn’t on the show.

With McMahon not being backstage at any show since then, Bayley has obviously been back on TV with the group in the couple of weeks after that, although there are plenty of teases they could split up soon.

The WWE Draft is coming up and many fans are predicting Damage CTRL will be one group, of potentially several, that’ll be separated.

SKY is the current #1 contender for Bianca Belair’s Raw Women’s Championship, and that title match will be happening sometime soon.

Officially, Paul Levesque (Triple H) is still WWE’s head of creative, and will be when the company merges with the UFC under Endeavor, but Vince McMahon does, and will, have the power to overrule him.
