Semi-Finals Of NXT Women’s Championship Tournament Confirmed

Semi-Finals Of NXT Women’s Championship Tournament Confirmed WWE

Tonight’s May 16 episode of WWE NXT on the USA Network played host to the continuation of the NXT Women’s Championship tournament.

Last week, Lyra Valkyria won her quarter-final match against on the right hand side of the bracket against Kiana James.

Tonight, Valkyria’s semi-final opponent was decided in a quarter-final between Cora Jade and Fallon Henley.

That match opened tonight’s show and was won by Jade, meaning it’ll be her against Valkyria in the semi-finals on the right hand side of the bracket next week.

On the left hand side of the bracket, Tiffany Stratton beat Gigi Dolin in a quarter-final last week.

Tonight, the last quarter-final was Roxanne Perez vs Jacy Jayne to determine Stratton’s semi-final opponent, and that match was won by Perez.

The final will take place on Sunday, May 28 at NXT Battleground, so, as things stand, it’ll be Stratton or Perez vs Valkyria or Jade.

The semi-final matches will both be taking place next week since that’s the last episode of NXT before Battleground.

Just to throw it out there, the final could end up being a three-way with Jade, Perez and Stratton just based on some of the build and the history of those three women, but officially as things stand per the tournament bracket, it’ll be Stratton or Perez against Valkyria or Jade.

If it’s not the three-way, Perez vs Jade would probably be the best bet based on their past.

The NXT Women’s Championship was vacated by Indi Hartwell after she suffered an injury and was called up to the Raw roster.
