Seth Rollins has addressed his new WWE partnership with Paul Heyman, while throwing shots at Heyman’s former clients Roman Reigns and CM Punk.
In the closing stages of the main event of WrestleMania 41 Night One Paul Heyman pulled off two stunning betrayals in the span of a few minutes, as he turned his back on both his “best friend” CM Punk and his “Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns in favor of a new allegiance with Seth Rollins.
On Monday’s WWE Raw Bron Breakker revealed himself to be the newest addition to Heyman and Rollins’ dangerous alliance, with fans speculating as to whether more names on WWE’s roster could soon follow suit and become Paul Heyman Guys or Girls.
In a recent appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, Rollins addressed his new partnership with Heyman, describing it as a strictly “business relationship”, which separates it from The Wise Man’s former unions with Punk and Reigns, both of whom Rollins threw shade towards.
Rollins said:
“This is a business relationship and that’s the beauty of it. I don’t want to get too deep into it, but you have the two greatest minds in the history of our industry coming together to create and push forward for the future of our industry.
“Roman Reigns ain’t around enough. CM Punk is not reliable enough. I am both of those things. Paul Heyman is dedicated to this industry. He will always do what is best for business, and so will I. That is a nice arrangement.
“I’m smarter than those two, Punk and Roman. I’m not worried about any betrayals or any chaos like that. We got this thing dialed in. I’m very excited to see where it leads us.”
Rollins, Heyman and Breakker stood tall over Punk and Reigns on Monday’s Raw, but its unclear what plans are in store for all involved in the angle at this time, with WWE’s next Premium Live Event Backlash being just two weeks away on May 10.
