Seth Rollins Beats Brock Lesnar To Capture Universal Championship

In a shocking turn of events, after Alexa Bliss brought out Hulk Hogan to open WrestleMania 35, Paul Heyman came down to the ring to say that as Brock Lesnar’s match wasn’t main eventing, it would be kicking off the show so the duo didn’t have to “hang around”.

After Brock and Seth made their way to the ring for the Universal Championship match, Lesnar attacked Rollins and beat down the winner of the 2019 Royal Rumble match outside of the ring for a long period of time.

After a long beat down, the match finally got underway and “The Architect” capitalised on a ref bump to clock Lesnar in the crown jewels and gain control.

Rollins then hit three Curb Stomps and pinned the UFC Hall of Famer, capturing the Universal Championship in the main card’s opener.

WrestleMania 31’s closing shot was Rollins standing at the top of the ramp as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion after besting Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. Fast forward four years, Rollins once again defeated Brock Lesnar to leave as the company’s top champion, but this time in the show’s opener.
