Last week on WWE Backstage, CM Punk made an emphatic return to the company after a five-year hiatus. It was revealed that Punk will be appearing as a special analyst on the FS1 studio show.
Despite it being reported that Punk has no intention to step back into a wrestling ring, former Universal Champion Seth Rollins decided to call out the former UFC star for a match.
Last night, CM Punk took to Twitter to hype up his WWE Backstage debut tonight. He said that he’d been doing his homework after five years away from the business, issuing the warning that “no one is safe”.
Seth Rollins took the opportunity to respond to the tweet, calling out CM Punk for a match once again.
Don’t talk about me, fight me. I’ll catch ya right up. https://t.co/CiyQqQ6Bjt

CM Punk has remained pretty quiet and decided not to respond to Seth Rollins. It will be interesting to see if WWE references Seth’s comments tonight on WWE Backstage.
If he does decide to return to the ring, a singles match between Seth Rollins and CM Punk would likely be a great option for WWE to explore.
