Seth Rollins Details Suffering Injury At WWE Crown Jewel WWE

Seth Rollins has opened up on his shoulder injury suffered during his match with Cody Rhodes at WWE Crown Jewel.

The latest chapter in the Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins saga took place at WWE Crown Jewel in Perth, Australia in October, with the two then-World Champions facing off for the Crown Jewel Championship.

Rollins would end up scoring his first singles victory over Cody, but he unfortunately suffered a shoulder injury during the match which required surgery.

Rollins suffered the injury performing a Coast to Coast Headbutt on Cody, and Seth has now opened up on the injury.

Speaking on Games with Names, he said:

“From Australia, I was wrestling Cody Rhodes again, I did what we call a Coast To Coast Headbutt, so I jumped from one turnbuckle all the way across the ring to the other turnbuckle where Cody Rhodes was hanging upside down and I headbutted him, but in the landing, I didn’t stick it.

“I rotated a little bit to the left, landed hard on my left elbow, jolted it up into my shoulder, felt it go right away. I was like uh oh, we have a lot left to do in this match. How much can I do? Can I do it? Should we go into a different direction for the finish? There was a lot going through my head. Luckily I didn’t have to pick him up for anything, so fortunately I was able to get through everything.

“I took his finisher off the top rope which was pretty scary at that point, because I knew I was gonna land harshly on my shoulder so I kind of kept it tucked real tight, and I don’t know that I did any more damage than the rotator.

“Two weeks out of surgery now, it’s about a six month recovery, so we’ll see how it goes.”
