Seth Rollins Didn’t Want WWE Star To Know About Fake Knee Injury WWE

Seth Rollins initially did not want WWE’s LA Knight to know about his fake knee injury at Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12.

In what was one of WWE’s most discussed angles of the Summer of 2025, the July 12 instalment of Saturday Night’s Main event saw Seth Rollins feign a knee injury during his match with LA Knight, resulting in an abrupt finish which saw Knight hit Rollins with a BFT after a WWE’s medical team assessed the downed star.

Rollins’ injury angle is a big focus of WWE Unreal Season Two, with WWE cameras capturing Triple H and WWE producer Bobby Roode outlining the plan for the angle beforehand.

As revealed by Triple H, the only two WWE stars who were informed of the angle beforehand were Cody Rhodes and LA Knight, with the footage below showing WWE’s Chief Content Officer telling Rhodes about the plan.

According to Triple H however, if Rollins was to get his wish, LA Knight would not have been told whatsoever.

Triple H said:

“Seth came to me and he said, ‘Why does LA Knight need to know? I don’t feel like he needs to know.’

“And I said, ‘Seth, if the roles were reversed on this and I didn’t tell you, you would be out of your mind pissed at me because you’re a professional in the ring and your first thought is to make sure your opponent is safe and doesn’t get hurt and all these things.’

“‘He gets hurt on your watch, and then you find out later it’s all bullshit, you’d be out your mind mad that I didn’t clue you in on that.’ “And then he paused for a few seconds, looked at me and went, ‘Fair enough,’ and never brought it up with me again. He has to know.”

Rollins would eventually return from injury under a month later during the main event of SummerSlam 2025 Night One, cashing-in his Money in the Bank briefcase to snatch away the World Heavyweight Title from CM Punk.
