Seth Rollins Fires Back At Claim He ‘Looks Down’ On Indie Wrestling

Current WWE Raw star Seth Rollins has fired back at the claim that he “looks down” on independent wrestling.

Rollins obviously spent a lot of time on the indies as Tyler Black before he signed with WWE developmental in 2010, but he’s now become one of the top names in WWE of the last several years.

In response to someone sharing a clip of a three-way match between Rollins, Bryan Danielson and Kenny Omega in ROH in 2008, one Twitter user wrote:

Might be an unpopular opinion but I feel like Seth looks down upon indy wrestling these days although that’s where he’s come from and what gave him his first shot

Seth Rollins didn’t take kindly to this at all, as he replied:

I train up and coming independent wrestlers at my school…that I’ve owned and operated for nearly a decade. Not only do I NOT look down on the indies, but I actively support them with my time and effort. I’ll stand for a lot of malarkey on this app, but don’t cross that line.

Rollins owns and operates the Black & Brave Wrestling Academy based in Moline, Illinois along with his former tag team partner Marek Brave, which has produced several recognisable names.

One of the most notable of those names is Nathan Frazer (Ben Carter), who had a few matches for AEW last year and made a name for himself before signing with WWE as a member of the NXT UK roster.
