It has now been pointed out that Seth Rollins will make WWE history at Night Of Champions, regardless of the result of his title bout.
At the May 27 event, Rollins will face AJ Styles in the finals of the tournament for the new World Heavyweight Championship.
With this title set to become Raw-exclusive, it has been heavily predicted that Rollins will become the inaugural titleholder after defeating the SmackDown star.
While this win would definitely be a historic WWE moment, Rollins will achieve a unique feat as soon as the opening bell is rang.
At Night of Champions, Rollins will become the first WWE star to have competed in three inaugural singles championship matches.
Rollins notably became the first NXT Champion after defeating Jinder Mahal in the finals of a tournament for the new gold back in 2012.
The Visionary was also one of the first stars to compete for the Universal Championship, however it was Finn Balor who became the inaugural champ after defeating Rollins at SummerSlam 2016.
Rollins earned his spot in the World Heavyweight Title tournament finals by winning a three-way bout, then a singles semi-final contest on the May 8 edition of Raw.
Interestingly, this semi-final bout was also against Finn Balor. AJ Styles won his triple threat bout and semi-final match against Bobby Lashley on the following episode of SmackDown.
