Seth Rollins injury update and photos

Seth Rollins’ injury during Raw this Monday was clear to see for anyone watching live. When the SHIELD entered in a police van – in which they were arrested earlier in the night – the entire heel roster came out to beat them down. After Roman Reigns was beaten with steel stairs, the ‘Kingslayer’ was hurled into the van by Dolph Ziggler and Elias.

However, this spot did not go according to plan. The glass window of the police van shattered upon impact, dealing a nasty slice to Rollins’ arm. Blood was immediately visible, and both the announce team and cameras focused on Reigns and Ambrose for the rest of the segment.

Keen-eyed viewers noticed right away that Rollins had a scar, showing a legitimate injury. (P.S. There is blood. If you’re not a fan of that we recommend you avoid going back to watch the Attitude Era.)

Many fans originally feared the worst, remembering a similar spot from 1999, in which Goldberg punched out the windows of a limousine. He broke his fist, and was out for five months. In fact, Goldberg would later say that he nearly lost his arm. That led many to fear the worst for Seth Rollins, especially since SHIELD reunions have been plagued by their fair share of injuries.

Rollins shared a photo of the gruesome wound’s aftermath on social media the next day, although otherwise, he hasn’t said anything specifically about his status. Those with a strong stomach can see the photo of his scars below:

WWE have stated that all three members of the SHIELD denied medical attention. Rollins is still booked for plenty of upcoming matches, so it seems as though he will make a speedy recovery. Any damage appears to be, thankfully, only skin deep.

The ‘Architect’ is the current WWE Intercontinental Champion, currently enjoying his second reign with the title.
