WWE Star Reveals Regrets Around Faction Reunion

WWE Star Reveals Regrets Around Faction Reunion WWE

A WWE star has shared his regret over the booking for his faction reunion.

Seth Rollins was speaking in a new interview with Bleacher Report when he looked back on the legacy of The Shield.

The faction consisted of Jon Moxley (FKA Dean Ambrose), Head of the Table Roman Reigns, and of course, Seth Rollins.

The Shield dissolved in 2014 but have reunited on several occasions. It was the 2017 reunion in particular that Rollins expressed regret over.

The former Dean Ambrose and Rollins joined forces in August 2017 and were later joined by Roman Reigns in October, who was in the middle of a feud with The Miz.

The Shield was set to reunite in the ring to face The Miz, Braun Strowman, Cesaro, Kane and Sheamus in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match.

Roman Reigns, unfortunately, had to miss the booking due to illness. This called for a replacement. Enter Kurt Angle.

Seth Rollins reflected on Angle lacing up his boots in a Shield costume, and revealed that it wasn’t exactly “ideal.”

The United States Champion said:

“I guess one regret would’ve been managing some of the reunions a little bit better and some of that was out of our control and there was nothing we could do.

“It’s not ideal to have Kurt Angle in a Shield costume, but desperate times call for desperate measures, so we made the best of it and there’s something to be said for putting people in that role and being able to have the equity to do that.”

Before the last-minute booking, Kurt Angle had not fought in a WWE ring since August 2006 and had not wrestled at all for several months.

Despite the change, The Shield took the victory.

During the November 21 edition of Raw, Rollins fired a shot at Cody Rhodes. Read more on this right here.

Seth Rollins also confirmed that he will next defend his United States Championship at Survivor Series WarGames.

He will face Bobby Lashley and Austin Theory at the premium-live-event on November 26.
