“I want to work with the best people in the world and Kevin Owens is one of those, no doubt about it. I’ve been a colleague of Kevin’s for over 15 years now and watching him progress to become one of the top performer’s on the planet has been a pleasure, so I’m very happy he’s around to help push our company and our industry forward here, with me.
“So that’s awesome. It’s very interesting because if you know Kevin’s history and my history, it’s not like we’ve always been the most trustworthy individuals, but when we can get an advantage from being on each other’s side, we’re certainly willing to do that.
“Like I said, Kevin is one of the best in the world so if I have him at my disposal, why not use that? I’m loving and enjoying the time with Kevin. I think we have good chemistry on screen so we’ll see where that goes.”
On whether or not we might see the two friends become enemies on the road to WrestleMania, Rollins notes their previous bout, where Owens defeated Rollins in a no disqualifications match at WrestleMania 36, saying:
“If Kevin wins the Rumble, we might have to put all that aside and have a WrestleMania rematch. I owe him one, anyway.”
Saturday’s Royal Rumble will see Seth Rollins taking on Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship.
Kevin Owens has been announced as an entrant in the Royal Rumble; you can view a complete list of the announced entrants here.
