Seth Rollins Gives Thoughts On John Cena Submitting In WWE Retirement WWE

Seth Rollins has given his thoughts on John Cena submitting to GUNTHER in his WWE retirement match at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

John Cena has now officially retired from WWE, with his final match taking place last weekend at Saturday Night’s Main Event, where he submitted to GUNTHER.

The decision for Cena to submit in his final match has led to a lot of divisive thoughts among both the fanbase and those within the industry, and Seth Rollins has now given his thoughts.

Speaking in a clip from he and Becky Lynch’s upcoming appearance on the Ross Tucker Podcast, Rollins gave his thoughts on the decision for Cena to submit in his last match.

He said:

“I don’t know, I have so many mixed feelings on it. John is one of the greatest of all time, his whole thing is never give up, but it didn’t feel like he was- people were all over him for giving up, but it didn’t feel like he was giving up. It felt like he was fading off into the sunset, like he had done his job, was happy to do it, and was handing the ball off.

“That’s sort of how I felt about it, and I might be in the minority about that, but at the end of the day he smiled before he did it, so there’s something poetic to that. I dunno, I love John, it’s hard for me to second guess anything he does.”
