WrestleMania 36 is quickly approaching and WWE will reportedly be bringing in a handful of former stars. It is not unusual for WrestleMania to feature stars of the past and it appears this year’s event will be no different.
PWInsider reported that JBL, Hornswoggle, and Santino Marella are booked to be in Tampa for the event. The following is the quote from PWInsider Elite Audio:
“WWE is reaching out to many former talents about coming into WrestleMania 36 weekend. I don’t think any of these names will be a shock, but we’ve got them confirmed.”
“JBL will be coming in for the weekend. I would assume he’ll be working with the broadcast team doing kickoff show stuff. Hornswoggle and Santino Marella are booked and will be coming in for the company in Tampa, Florida.”
Marella most recently appeared in the women’s Royal Rumble match as his alter ego, Santina Marella. He quickly eliminated himself when confronted by Beth Phoenix.
JBL and Hornswoggle have both made sporadic appearances over the years. JBL retired in 2009 and had a run as an announcer while Hornswoggle was released by WWE in 2015.
