During tonight’s SmackDown, WWE announced several matches for next week’s show. The first two are qualifying matches for the Money in the Bank matches at the next pay-per-view wherever that happens.
It was announced earlier in the week, that the venue in Baltimore had canceled the event. Most likely, the event will happen at the WWE Performance Center.
The first match involves two men who should be capable of putting on an incredible match if given the time and opportunity. Daniel Bryan will be wrestling Cesaro.

Either man would make a great addition to the ladder match. While Daniel Bryan is my sentimental favorite, the idea of seeing him in a multi-man ladder match where so much can go wrong makes me cringe just a little.
The other qualifying match won’t likely be the wrestling classic of Bryan and Cesaro. It was announced that Naomi will be facing Dana Brooke for a chance to qualify for the Women’s MITB match.
The final announced match is one that left many shaking their heads. Quite frankly, it doesn’t make a lot of sense.
The SmackDown Tag Team Titles will be on the line in a Triple Threat Match. What’s so odd about that? Well, it’s a singles match.
Miz will be defending against Big E and Jey Uso. They made the match because those are the 3 who didn’t get to compete at WrestleMania.
Next week, it will be the 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 tag team partner's turn as @WWEBigE @mikethemiz & Jey @WWEUsos compete for the "𝘢𝘥𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦, 𝘬𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦, 𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦" #SmackDown #TagTeamTitles! 💋🏆 pic.twitter.com/fZmhTDFBHy

They may be doing it to limit the number of people in the room. However, we did see a women’s 5 way and 6-way ladder match within the past week.
They may also be doing it because they couldn’t think of anything better to do. Whatever the case, it won’t be as good as the ladder match at Mania.
