One of the biggest matches of last night’s AEW Dynamite was MJF and Chris Jericho vs. Top Flight. However, it now seems that we could have seen many more spots in the match.
Dave Meltzer has reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Chris Jericho nixed a number of spots in their match. Top Flight had pitched a bunch of ideas for the match but Jericho made the decision not to do a number of them.
Top Flight are very young so it seems some of their ideas may have been a bit much for the veteran, Jericho. It was noted, however, that they did get to do some of their ideas.
MJF and Jericho were ultimately able to get the win as MJF hit the Heatseeker for the finish. This was a very entertaining opening match as Top Flight continue to be pushed on television.
After the match, Jake Hager took a microphone and called out Wardlow for not carrying his weight in the Inner Circle. This has been building since MJF announced his intentions to join the group. Now, Hager and Wardlow will face each other on next week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
