Several WWE Stars Qualify For Money In The Bank

Tonight’s episode of WWE Raw saw three names qualify for the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match, which is sure to be the most unique ever.

The first man to qualify tonight was Aleister Black, who picked up a win over Austin Theory with a pretty heavy looking Black Mass. Black also had to deal with his real-life wife Zelina Vega who was on commentary throughout the match but did get involved at points to give her client Theory an advantage.

Apollo Crews was the second man of the night to qualify with a win over MVP, even kicking out of Playmaker before winning with a powerbomb.

And later in the show, in the longest and best of tonight’s three qualifying matches, Rey Mysterio picked up the win over Murphy. Personally I’d have liked Murphy to have won the briefcase and cash in on Rollins somewhere down the line but oh well.

They join Daniel Bryan who qualified last Friday on SmackDown with a win over Cesaro. This coming Friday, Bryan’s tag team partner Drew Gulak faces King Corbin in another qualifying match.

The reason the match is sure to be the most unique ever is the competitors will “climb the corporate ladder” in a cinematic-style match which starts on the bottom of WWE HQ with the briefcase hanging above the roof.

Also on the card for the May 10 pay-per-view are: Drew McIntyre defending the WWE Title against Seth Rollins, Braun Strowman defending the Universal Title against Bray Wyatt, Bayley defending the SmackDown Women’s Title against Tamina, and the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.

Qualified so far for the women’s Money in the Bank match – which will be taped in the same vein as the men’s – are Asuka, Kairi Sane, Nia Jax and Dana Brooke.

Two matches that definitely seem to be the direction but have yet to be officially announced are the Street Profits defending the Raw Tag Team Championship against the Viking Raiders, and New Day defending the SmackDown Tag Team Championship in a three-way against Miz & Morrison and the Usos.
