Shane Helms Has ‘Ideas’ For Working With Raw Star

Nikki Cross has taken the world of WWE by storm due to her recent transformation into ‘Almost A Superhero’, Nikki A.S.H, especially after capturing the Raw Women’s Championship from Charlotte Flair last week.

Naturally, comparisons were made between Nikki’s new character and the Hurricane, the superhero portrayed by Shane Helms. Helms stopped by this week’s edition of WWE The Bump, where he congratulated Nikki on her championship win, revealing that Nikki actually went to him to ask for permission to use the gimmick.

Helms said:

“It’s been amazing. I try to be there in gorilla every time she comes back. For the big moments, I’ve been there. She’s been polite and humble. Not that she had to ask for permission, but you know, I’m not wrestling as The Hurricane anymore. I just turned 47, and that window might be closing. She took the respectful route and asked me about it, and from day one, I told her, whatever you need, I’m here for you. It’s been fun watching her grow. Nobody was happier for her than me that night.”

Nikki then went on to say that she hopes for Nikki A.S.H and The Hurricane to cross paths on a WWE screen one day, and Helms revealed that he has ideas for a crossover, saying:

“Uh, let me say, I have ideas, but I don’t want to give them out now. It would have to be something that highlights Nikki. That’s something I want to make sure of ’cause I’ve had a lot of great moments myself, but if I could find a way to highlight Nikki, 100 percent, I’m in.”

Nikki A.S.H will defend her Raw Women’s Championship against Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair in a Triple Threat match at SummerSlam on August 21.
