Shane McMahon Still Under WWE Contract

Shane McMahon is reportedly still under contract with WWE, while rarely appearing backstage as of late.

Fightful Select (subscription required) has released a report stating that they have inquired with WWE reps about McMahon’s status with the company.

They had originally been told that he is no longer with the company. However, upon inquiring they were told that Shane McMahon is “still a WWE talent and under a deal.”

The report closes by saying that McMahon is rarely if ever at WWE offices.

Shane McMahon made his return to WWE last year, introducing Raw Underground. The concept was a Fight Club-esque underground fighting ring that would involve worked-shoot fights in the depths of the WWE Performance Center.

The idea did not last long and McMahon began getting involved in various feuds on WWE television. His most recent match was at WrestleMania 37 where he was defeated by Braun Strowman in a Steel Cage match.
