Shawn Michaels Addresses Booker T WWE NXT Commentary Role

Shawn Michaels has addressed Booker T’s commentary style, along with the current make-up of the WWE NXT announcer table.

Booker T’s commentary style is occasionally the topic of conversation among fans, especially when it focuses on specific members of the roster, with the WWE Hall of Famer’s wife recently commenting.

Now WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development, Creative, Shawn Michaels has shared his thoughts on Booker T and the NXT commentary table in general.

Speaking on the Reality of Wrestling podcast, Michaels reflected on his relationship with Booker T and his passion for the role, saying:

“Just from a personal standpoint, it has been phenomenal for me to get to strengthen and have a much better and bigger relationship with Booker.

“I’ve gotten to know him so much better since working with him here in NXT, and to understand that his passion, his desire to help all of these young men and women get better and improve.

“Obviously, you guys do it at Houston at Reality Of Wrestling, but Booker just brings that passion over here to NXT, and shares it with our talent week in and week out.”

Michaels would then go on to discuss the family vibe in the WWE NXT commentary team, explaining:

“And when it comes to a commentating team, that’s one of the things that I love about NXT, we’re all one big family.

“We obviously all communicate a lot, we have a lot of collaboration between each and every one of us.

“I think Corey (Graves) was a huge addition to that team, and I think they’ve really found their footing now, and at the very, very least, it is gonna be entertaining every time you tune in on Tuesday nights on the CW.”
