WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels has teased main roster stars on the CW premiere episodes of WWE NXT in October.
WWE announced that NXT’s premiere episode on The CW Network on Tuesday, October 2 will be live from the All State Arena in Chicago with WWE Raw star CM Punk appearing. Meanwhile, the following week’s October 9 episode will emanate live from St. Louis with SmackDown’s Randy Orton appearing.
Speaking with WGN Radio (via Wrestfriends), NXT head honcho Shawn Michaels teased more main roster stars on the CW premiere episodes of WWE NXT. He said:
“We’re going to stack this card, obviously, to make it unbelievably exciting. Clearly, you can’t come to Chicago without having its favorite son, its hometown guy, CM Punk.”
“So was very thrilled to find out as soon as this announcement went out he texted me and said, ‘Look, I’m in, I’d love to be a part of this show in any way, shape, or form.’”
“So Punk is going to be there, and I have no doubt, nothing is confirmed at this time, but I have no doubt we will have other main roster Raw and Smackdown stars blessing our presence there.”
Before their NXT appearances, both CM Punk and Randy Orton have big matches for WWE Bash In Berlin. Punk will face Drew McIntyre in a Strap Match, while Orton will challenge GUNTHER for the World Heavyweight Championship on Saturday, August 31.
