Shawn Michaels Set For Shock WrestleMania Match? WWE

WWE is set to bring the biggest show of the year, WrestleMania 39, to SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles in April, and the stars are sure to be out for the show.

Over the past year, speculation arose about many huge names from WWE’s past wrestling at the event; such as John Cena, The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

While Cena wrestling Austin Theory is a match seemingly still set for the show, it appears as though The Rock and Steve Austin won’t be in action on the show.

However, one all-time great could be setting up a surprising match for WrestleMania right before our eyes.

In recent weeks, Shawn Michaels has become more involved on screen on NXT television, serving as the show’s authority, setting up a Steel Cage match between Grayson Waller and Bron Breakker.

After the match, which Breakker retained his title in, Waller approached Shawn during a media call, with the two getting involved in a heated argument.

This led to Waller being suspended from the show for a week, but it seems issues between Waller and Michaels have not ended just yet.

WWE uploaded footage of the interaction to Twitter, with Waller responding, continuing his feud with Michaels, saying:

Corporate Shawn is different. The Heart Break Kid doesn’t exist anymore. Thanks for the weekend off Mr Michaels

With WrestleMania just around the corner, and a potential match being built between Michaels and Waller, the biggest show of the year would make sense as the location for the match.

It was reported several months ago that WWE was really high on Waller, and were planning a ‘Kevin Owens style’ main roster debut for the Australian.

A match with Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania? Yeah, that’d be it.

Stay tuned to NXT to see how this story progresses over the coming weeks.
