Replacement Named For WWE Championship Match Changed Due To Medical Issue WWE

On tonight’s edition of WWE Raw (December 5) an announcement regarding a match on this week’s SmackDown on Friday.

While we brought the story earlier of the Tag Team Championship match scheduled for Friday night’s SmackDown being changed, now a replacement has been named as the match will go on!

Previously, Drew McIntyre announced that he was unable to compete in the upcoming Undisputed Tag Team Championship match against the Usos.

Now, WWE has clarified that the match will go on however Sheamus will have an alternate partner who is gratefully, quite a familiar face!

A big opportunity is on the horizon for another one of the Brawling Brutes!

WWE writing on their Twitter account of the change:

“BREAKING: The winners of this Undisputed Tag Team Title Match on #WWERaw will be defending against @WWESheamus and BUTCH this Friday on #SmackDown!”

Major opportunity for Butch who used his past experience in WarGames to his advantage at Survivor Series WarGames despite the eventual loss by the Brawling Brutes team.

Elsewhere on WWE Raw, a development towards the upcoming title bout on SmackDown.

Tonight’s WWE Raw featured an Undisputed Tag Team Championship match pitting Matt Riddle and surprise partner, Kevin Owens against the Usos.

Due to some good team work between Sami Zayn and Jey Uso fascinatingly, it was the Usos who captured the victory over the unlikely duo.

In a post-match beatdown, the Bloodline was beating down Matt Riddle before Kevin Owens chased Zayn and the Usos away with a steel chair however left Solo Sikoa with Riddle alone in the ring.

The segment ended with Solo Sikoa hitting a “Samoan Spike” on Riddle’s neck before continuing to lay waste to the original bro to end the segment.
