Sheamus and Claudio are good friends outside of the ring, with Sheamus previously providing updates on the former Cesaro following his WWE departure in February.
Claudio ultimately made his AEW debut at the Forbidden Door NJPW crossover event, replacing Bryan Danielson in a match against Zack Sabre Jr.
The former WWE star defeated Jonathan Gresham for the ROH World Championship in the opening bout of the Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view.
Gresham and Tony Khan reportedly had a heated meeting earlier that day, with Gresham reportedly asking for his AEW/ROH release. You can read more about that right here.
Over 20 onscreen names have finished up with WWE this year. You can check out the full list of WWE departures in 2022 at this link.
