The replacement for Sheamus and both semi-finals in the WWE ‘Last Time Is Now’ tournament are now confirmed.
Despite advancing in the tournament with a win over Shinsuke Nakamura, Sheamus was ruled out of the quarter-finals due to injury.
His replacement was revealed on tonight’s WWE SmackDown – taped last week – in the quarter-final match against Knight.
Knight’s opponent ended up being The Miz, who was actually already in the first round of the tournament but lost to Jey Uso.
On tonight’s SmackDown, Knight defeated Miz to advance to the semi-finals.
In the other quarter-final tonight, Uso faced Rusev, the latter of whom got past Damian Priest in round one.
It was Uso who picked up the win to set up a semi-final match against Knight.
The other semi-final on the other side of the bracket is Solo Sikoa vs GUNTHER, who advanced past Penta and Carmelo Hayes respectively in the quarter-finals.
That means one of Jey Uso, LA Knight, Solo Sikoa and GUNTHER will be John Cena’s last ever opponent in WWE.
The farewell match will take place at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13.
The tournament semi-finals take place on the December 1 episode of Raw, with the final on the December 5 SmackDown.
