WWE’s Sheamus Wants Rematch Against Current TNA Wrestling Star WWE

Sheamus has teased the possibility of revisiting a feud with a former WWE star who is currently signed with TNA Wrestling.

TNA Wrestling and WWE have recently formally announced a multi-year partnership that is mainly focused on opportunities in NXT.

This hasn’t stopped Sheamus from naming the former Dolph Ziggler as a man he’d like to encounter once more.

Speaking on The Masked Man Show, the Celtic Warrior opened up about possibly facing Nic Nemeth, saying:

“Yeah, I loved working Ziggy (Nic Nemeth). Ziggy was great. I don’t think he he’s the fondest memories of working me, taking all those Brogue Kicks. I don’t think anyone took a finish as good as Ziggy.

“He’s great, dude. I knew him as well from FCW. Our history goes back all the way to 20 years ago. But definitely another person who put on a great performance all the time. Never the biggest, but when it came to storytelling, he was great. He was so much fun to work. Dolph is so easy.

“I think there’s a lot of opportunities now for some of that talent to come back over and create different stories, and it’d be fun, it’d be a good time.”

Sheamus and Ziggler shared the ring a number of times during their career, with their last WWE SmackDown singles match taking pace in May 2016, as can be seen in the highlights below this news story.

Following his release in September 2023 after nineteen years with WWE, Ziggler went on to the independent circuit, including NJPW.

In January 2024, he would make his TNA Wrestling debut as Nic Nemeth at the Hard To Kill pay-per-view.

He has since been the TNA World Champion, recently losing the title to Joe Hendry at TNA Genesis on January 19, 2025.
