After returning at the start of the night and announcing that his leukaemia was in remission, Roman Reigns made another appearance on Raw in an angle that hinted at the return of The Shield.
Following Dean Ambrose losing a no disqualification match to Drew McIntyre, Elias, Baron Corbin and Bobby Lashley hit the ring to join Drew in giving him a post-match beat down.
Seth Rollins then hit the ring to help Ambrose (what a flop that Ambrose heel turn was, huh?) followed by Reigns, to another mighty roar of approval from the Atlanta crowd.

Reigns and Rollins laid waste to the four assailants, with Roman hitting a handful of superman punches and a big spear on McIntyre. The duo left the ring together before stopping momentarily to look back at Ambrose, who gave a wry smile.
This looked like a hint of a third Shield reunion – albeit a temporary one with Ambrose leaving in April. Could this angle be setting up a match pitting the four heels against The Shield and Braun Strowman in a big eight-man tag at Fastlane?

Recent booking certainly seems to have been pointing that way and it would be a good way of protecting Roman in his first match back and the still-crocked Rollins.
Or it might have just been a cool moment WWE wanted to do while the three were all still in the same place at the same time.
