There has reportedly been a “shock” departure from WWE as Senior Vice President of Creative Services Stan Stanski has left the company.
Stanski had been with WWE for nearly 15 years and, according to PWInsider, his departure was a “shock” to people in the company as word made the rounds today (November 3).
One person told PWInsider him being let go is the “ultimate proof no-one is safe” and “yet another reminder this isn’t the same company it was a year ago”.
Stanski was brought into WWE as a Vice President of Creative Services in 2006 and was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2012.
If you’re wondering what ‘Senior Vice President of Creative Services’ actually means, here’s what Stanksi had written on his LinkedIn as his role:
Responsible for defining and managing the overall creative look of WWE across all platforms including but not limited to: the graphic identity and branding; photography; on and off air affiliate marketing of pay-per-view events; consumer and trade advertising; consumer products; sponsorship and retail promotions; live event and tour promotion; fan events; talent brand development; corporate communication; and WWE Studios.
PWInsider mentions that there could be more departures from today that come to light, but this is the most high-profile.
It’s also worth noting that tomorrow is when WWE will report its 2021 Q3 financials.
