It appears as though WWE is looking to make tonight’s (April 25) episode of Monday Night Raw a memorable one, as several shock returns are reportedly being planned.
Fightful Select has reported that not only is Asuka set to return for a feud with Becky Lynch, having spent several months away from the ring with a hand injury, but we may also see the far more surprising return of Mustafa Ali.
In case you aren’t aware, the reason this is so surprising is that Ali publicly requested his release from WWE in January 2022, and has not been seen on TV since October 2021.
Mustafa Ali reportedly fell out with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon over his booking, and was not even backstage at shows for a long time after the argument.
He’s spent the better part of the last few months trying to get the “#FreeAli” trending on social media, so to hear he’s on the verge of a return is very surprising.
Fightful has added to their original report that Ali is indeed tentatively on tonight’s card, although what the plan for him is remains to be seen. 30 second loss to Omos?
