The SmackDown tag team of Shotzi (Blackheart) and (Tegan) Nox have spoken about name changes following their call-up from NXT.
They were both brought in with one of their names chopped off, although WWE’s website still has Nox listed as ‘Tegan Nox’, and commentary does still refer to her as Tegan every so often.
Speaking with talkSPORT about the change, Nox said:
“It was a handshake and, ‘Hey, Nox’, and I was like, ‘That’s not my… oh, okay!’, and that’s my name now (laughs).”
Shotzi clarified that the name changes don’t change who they are, saying:
“She’s always Tegan Nox, I’m always Shotzi Blackheart, we’re just getting it short and sweet. We’re getting right to the point now.”
Shotzi has also responded to Chris Jericho and the fallout from the GIF she posted after his fall from the cage at AEW Blood & Guts, which you can read about at this link.
