An update has emerged on Shotzi’s WWE status, following recent rumors about upcoming presentation changes.
On Friday’s (September 16) edition of SmackDown, Shotzi made the save after Damage Control attacked Raquel Rodriguez after Rodriquez’ bout against Bayley.
While it had previously been reported that there were plans for Shotzi’s tank she previously used for her entrance to to be transported to the arena for the show, the SmackDown star ran down on foot to save Rodriguez.
Per backstage notes from Fightful Select (subscription required), Shotzi is now officially a babyface.
Blackheart had turned heel in November 2021, and lost her entrance tank shortly after her turn.
Her most recent TV match was on the August 26 edition of SmackDown, which saw her team with Xia Li in a tag-team fourway bout. Shotzi has teamed with Li at several house shows since then, most recently during the September 11 live event in Washington.
During the Vince McMahon era of WWE, Shotzi dropped her ‘Blackheart’ surname. As of writing, she is still referred to just as ‘Shotzi’ on WWE.com.
