According to PWInsider, Sin Cara has signed a contract extension with WWE that will keep him with the promotion until 2022.
The masked star, who has not been seen since last summer due to injury, joined the promotion in 2009, when he was previously known as Hunico.
The Sin Cara gimmick was previously played by Luis Urive Alvirde, better known as Mistico and now Caristico until he left the promotion in 2014 and was replaced by Jorge Arias, the current Sin Cara.
Arias has recently been seen in the WWE Performance Center training for his comeback and he is expected to be back on television shortly, likely following WrestleMania and the Superstar Shake-Up.
