WWE SmackDown Back Above Two Million For Return To FOX

WWE SmackDown Back Above Two Million For Return To FOX WWE

WWE SmackDown has climbed back above the two million viewer mark upon its return to Fox on November 4 2022.

The October 28 edition of the show dropped by more than half its average figure, due to the fact that it aired on Fox’s sister channel FS1.

According to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, SmackDown achieved an overall rating of 2,138,000 viewers, and a 0.48 in the key 18 – 49 demographic.

The episode was also number three in the key demographic among broadcast primetime and cable originals.

The previous week’s episode of SmackDown received a low 835,000 viewers and a 0.23 in the key demographic, though this is because the show was moved to Fox’s sister channel FS1 for the evening due to sports.

The November 4 edition of SmackDown was the go-home show for WWE Crown Jewel 2022. It was pre-taped along with the previous week’s episode.

The episode’s main event was a singles match for the Intercontinental Championship between Gunther and Rey Mysterio, which saw Gunther retain the belt.

Next week’s episode sees the show return to live programming on FOX for the first time in three weeks.

The show will feature the start of the SmackDown World Cup, where the winner will face Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship.
